There is no such thing as magicArt Direction, Graphic Design, Motion Design
Exhibition Design

Identity for the annual interdisciplinary collaboration between the students on the Visual Communication programme at Beckmans College of Design, researchers at Beijer Institute and Svenskt Tenn.

This year's theme, There is no such thing as magic, is based on the Beijer Institute’s research on artificial intelligence (AI), its risks and opportunities. AI is an umbrella term for digital technologies that underlie, among other things, ChatGPT, recommendation algorithms, and voice assistants. We tend to talk about AI as if it were something magical that comes out of nowhere, something beyond our control. In reality, it is the result of several years of decisions by actors in technology, economics, politics, and research.

The processes behind what we call AI can be understood, questioned, and improved – to let the analogy stop at it being magic, is a mistake. With an understanding of how AI works, we can make informed decisions and retain influence over how AI will impact our society and the living planet.

Spegling
Art Direction, Set Design, Graphic Design
Stills from the collaboration between Beckmans College of Design and A House on “What drives the workplace of the future?”.

A visualization of the psychological phenomena of Mirroring, how we directly reflect the enviorment and the people surrounding us. How we act, what we produce and our productivity is shaped by our surroundings. Since more and more people have the option to choose their workplace, we can (and should) make an active choice on what we want to emulate.

Exhibited at A house Katarina and featured in the printed edition of Resumé.

Collecting VOL.1Graphic Design
Collecting music has always been personal, tied to memories and identity—whether burning CDs on a family computer, sneaking an iPod filled with Rihanna tracks, or meticulously curating .mp3 files. Over time, the act of collecting shifted from physical records to digital playlists, where algorithms now play a major role.

While personal playlists once reflected individual taste and effort, today, streaming platforms generate playlists based on user data, shaping listening habits and even influencing music discovery. Yet, music remains deeply tied to emotion and experience. The way we collect and organize songs continues to reveal who we are—whether through handcrafted mixtapes or AI-generated "Sad Girl Mixes."

Collecting VOL.1 explores these evolving forms of music consumption and their cultural significance.

HOPE AW22Set Design
Set built for HOPE Stockholm AW22 campaign.

“HOPE Autumn/Winter 2022 explore the vastness of nature alongside the uncertain forces associated with
all things growing. You can't really trust plants, it's like they have their own agenda. They can be poisonous
and die completely uncontrolled and you do not understand why.”
